At Things Align Design, we have a huge respect for those people who are brave enough to turn their passions into a business. Things Align was created for small businesses and entrepreneurs to give them the tools they need for the best chance of success.

Things Align knows small business because we began as a small business. We keep the small business mentality to fill the gap between a large, often expensive, agency — and the potentially unsatisfying results from a friend who knows how to use Photoshop.

We know that while there are plenty of ways to do DIY marketing, there is no substitute for having an experienced team guide a company through marketing decisions. We work to form relationships with our clients and join them on their journey to success.

The goal of Things Align is to provide high-quality services to and build long-lasting relationships with our clients. By maintaining a small but multi-talented staff, and by keeping operating costs low, we are able to provide creative and strategic services at a price point the big agencies just can’t match. Our Founder

He’s a pretty interesting guy

The founder, Richard Ward, started working in design when he was 15 years old. He found visual creation was a line of work he enjoyed and could make a career of. Richard went to The University of North Texas’ renowned College of Visual Arts and Design with the intent to become an art director, and began agency work two years into the program. In his time in the corporate world, Richard worked on everything from Fortune 500 companies to fledgling start-ups; he had the opportunity to work with some of the best marketers, strategists, developers, and social media experts in the industry. While the agency life was full of extremely valuable lessons, Richard found the work he was truly passionate about came when he had the opportunity to work with the small start-up client base that he had maintained over the years.

Richard loves helping people and has a huge respect for those people who are brave enough to follow their passions. Things Align was created to help guide those people in the right direction and give them the best chance of success.

In Richard’s years working with small businesses and start-ups, he noticed a trend of poor-quality and uninformed marketing. Almost every client would tell Richard they ended up with his or her current brand because someone (who had no background in marketing) knew Photoshop or web design or was “good at art”. They had no real experience in professional marketing and, most of the time, very little creative skill. Things Align is his response to these outcries for help.
